TIND Gear (tindgear.com) is run by TIND GEAR LLC, an Oregon company ("TIND," "we," "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from our store, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

By using tindgear.com, you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the store, we may collect:

Contact details: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address.
Order details: what you bought, when, how much you paid, and shipping and delivery info.
Payment details: handled by our payment processors. We don't see or store your full card number.
Account details: if you create an account, your login and saved preferences.
Messages: anything you send us by email or through a form, including maker pitches sent to hello@tindgear.com.
Device and browsing info: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed and how you got to the site. Much of this comes from cookies and similar tools.

Where it comes from

From you, when you place an order, make an account, sign up for email, or write to us.
Automatically, through cookies and similar tools when you browse.
From partners, like Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers and the makers who ship your order (for example, tracking updates).

How we use it

To take, ship and support your orders, including returns and refunds.
To answer questions and email you about your order.
To send marketing emails, if you've signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
To keep the store secure and prevent fraud.
To understand how the site is used and make it better.
To follow the law and protect our rights.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information for money.

We share it only as needed to run the store:

Makers and suppliers. Many TIND items ship straight from the company that makes or stocks them. To ship your order, we give them your name, shipping address, phone number (if the carrier needs it) and what you ordered. They may also handle your return.
Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders.
Payment processors, to take payment and prevent fraud.
Shipping carriers, to deliver your order and send tracking.
Service providers that help us with email, analytics, customer support and similar work.
Advertising partners, if we run ads. See "Cookies and ads" below.
Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
A buyer, if TIND is ever sold or merged.

Shopify

Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify uses your information to provide its services to us, and in some cases for its own purposes, like improving its services and keeping them secure. To learn more, see Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy: https://privacy.shopify.com/en

Cookies and ads

We use cookies to make the store work (like keeping items in your cart), to remember your settings, and to see how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but some parts of the store may stop working.

If we add ad pixels (for example Meta, Google or TikTok), we'll use cookies to show you TIND ads on other sites. Under some state laws, this may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information or "targeted advertising." You can opt out using the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of our site. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required.

Kids

The store isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

How we protect it and how long we keep it

We use reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure. Please don't email sensitive information like card numbers.

We keep information as long as we need it to run the store, handle orders and returns, keep tax and accounting records, and follow the law. Then we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including Oregon, California and other US states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

See what personal information we have about you
Get a copy of it
Correct it
Delete it
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, or targeted advertising
Unsubscribe from marketing emails

To make a request, email hello@tindgear.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it. You can have an authorized agent make a request for you. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
